After moving all utilities – gas, water, and electricity – to make way for the building addition, the building is starting to take shape.  The new linear accelerator requires a 3′-0″ thick slab, due to it’s weight.  Within this slab are 25,000lbs of steel reinforcing bar, which is laid in and tied by hand.  All electrical conduits and plumbing pipes must be placed precisely, so that they are in the exact location when the equipment is set.
