Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch announced it has chosen GALBRAITH/Pre-Design, Inc. to build five pre-engineered metal buildings for a new sustainable cage-free egg-laying facility in Montgomery Township, Pennsylvania.
Site preparation for the $100 million Blue Springs Egg Farm began in January.
“GALBRAITH started off as and remains a family business and we’ve grown into an award-winning contractor for our customers,” said Allan Galbraith, president of GALBRAITH. “That’s why we’re excited to work with another family business, and to offer our expertise to this project. Herbruck’s policy of regional hiring is a testament to their commitment to the communities they serve.”
“Herbruck’s commitment to hiring partners from our local region drove our selection process,” said Cody Herbruck, senior manager of Herbruck’s. “GALBRAITH has proven a dedication to excellence in serving its local communities, and we’re eager to utilize their structures in this next phase of our project.”
GALBRAITH will be supplying Herbruck’s first phase of construction with four pre-engineered metal poultry buildings and a manure processing building. Fully-operational production at Blue Springs is expected to begin in mid-2022 and will employ roughly 200 people.
